The New Driveway Company laid a new gravel driveway in Clandon, Guildford for Mr Chapman.
Having just finished renovating the inside of his cottage, Mr Chapman decided it was time for a complete rework outside the front of the cottage.
We started by digging out the whole 120m squared front garden and laid a membrane. Existing manhole covers had to be rebuilt using engineering bricks.
To retain the gravel we installed 6 inch sleepers held in place with 75cm posts concreted all round.
We filled with type 1 MOT sub-base and compacted with a heavy vibrating roller and topped with 20mm Golden Flint gravel.
Finally we installed 0.5m of rumbled tegular block pavers to the driveway entrance to retain the gravel and give good grip for tyres when leaving the property.
