Resin Bound Driveway Ambrosden Bicester
Ronnie and Ann have a lovely home in Ambrosden, Bicester. It had a large gravel driveway and a small side border, but the gravel was hard to weed and keep tidy, the driveway was a turning point for vehicles entering the close and the flower bed was being used as a walkway.
What they really wanted was a plan that gave them better security, clearer borders, low maintenance and looked fantastic. So that’s what we gave them.
At their free design meeting with our Sales Director Stuart, they agreed to increase the footprint of the flowerbed and remove the old footpath, adding a curve to lead up to a new sloping path to the front door. Ronnie & Ann wanted a low-maintenance, durable and environmentally friendly surface that would complement the exterior of their home. After researching different options, they chose resin bound gravel due to its SuDS compliant permeability, weather resistance and extremely low maintenance.
We produced a sleek and contemporary design, providing a striking entrance to their home with a blend of natural granite setts and borders framed with a charcoal kerb to complement the architecture of the house and elevate its kerb appeal.
The side and front path were re-laid using Indian Sandstone, chosen for its warm, earthy tones and unique veining patterns that add character as well as ensuring years of durability, natural beauty and versatility.
The final design was a perfect choice – adding warmth, style and sophistication, exuding a sense of care and attention to detail and making the driveway an integral part of the overall presentation of the property – a lasting first impression.
To stop the driveway being used as a turning point and to add security for Ronnie and Ann’s cars, we installed locking telescopic barriers which can be lifted and lowered in seconds, providing the perfect solution for access management.
Ronnie and Ann are very happy with the result and have had many compliments on their new drive from neighbours and passers by. Take a look at the galleries below to see the full transformation.
“The New Driveway Company undertook the project professionally and competently. There were no real issues to overcome and the site was left clean and tidy with all the debris removed on completion.”
