Mr and Mrs Neville wanted a new block driveway installed in their back garden in Efflingham, Guildford so they could securely park their cars off the road on a driveway with gated access.
Their back garden was completely covered in grass, but they decided to sacrifice half of the turfed area for a permeable regular paving driveway which served more of a practical purpose to them.
Permeable regular paving in a ‘Brindle’ colour was used, with a tegular pattern being decided upon during the planning phase.
We used a weed proof membrane to keep any unwanted weeds between the block paving at bay, with a raised border to separate the driveway from the lawn area.
Mr and Mrs Neville were in the middle of wedding planning when construction began, so they were off-site for most of the project. Careful planning and discussion before work started allowed us to get on with the job and not interrupt the happy couple while they were out organising the big day. Their trust was well placed and they are extremely pleased with the outcome.
