Desiree’s 1930s semi in Cutteslowe, Oxford had been nicely refurbished, but the old, saggy monoblock driveway and overgrown gravel was letting it down.
New Driveway Company to the rescue!
First we helped Desiree plan out how best to use the space, and decided to block pave the entire front garden in permeable modern blocks and move one of the brick gateposts to allow more room to get cars off the busy road.
First we moved the brick wall back, removed the gatepost and rebuilt it. Then we ripped out the old monoblock driveway and replaced it with a rumbled block driveway. We left a 30cm flower bed along the curved front bay window and created a corner flower bed to add some colour, and even planted a tree.
