Elizabeth & Tim’s existing patio was outdated and lacked cohesion with the rest of their landscaping. They wanted paving that would blend seamlessly with their garden but would also withstand the variable UK weather conditions, offer durability and require little maintenance. New Driveway Company recommended an Indian Sandstone Patio for their High Wycombe home as the perfect solution.

Our clients wanted to retain the structure’s current size and position with a few additions. The New Driveway Company team worked with their design, reconfiguring the position of the steps so the risers, built with sleepers and topped with sandstone treads, were now uniform in height.

The design was changed on-site as the last main step would have encroached the patio area more than the clients anticipated. The team were able to address this challenge and adapt the plans accordingly bringing the steps back against the step into the house. This then required that the drain be raised to ensure that the drain cover was flush with the patio surface for seamless integration.

The delicately shaded Bradstone wall paving with its rumbled edges and distinctive natural colour variation was ideal for adding height and interest to the garden.

The Fossil Buff Indian Sandstone and walling have transformed the once dull and uninspiring patio into a vibrant outdoor sanctuary, both harmonious and functional. The patio serves as a perfect stage for outdoor gatherings.
