So obviously there’s several factors when people talk about how long does a job take, the first one most importantly is lead time. We’re always very honest, you wouldn’t expect any company to be able to do a job inside of a couple of weeks, that would be indicative of the fact they had no work on and probably problematic in the long run.

We’ve normally got a 4 month wait or lead time as we like to call it. In that time, we’d be designing the drive and specifying, choosing colours, choosing designs, choosing edging. So once we take a job on, we’ll put it in the diary, give an installation date, and as a parallel process we’ll be walking towards that.

How long does it take?

That depends on the size of the drive obviously, not many drives have taken more than 2 or 3 weeks. A driveway like this of 200 square meters in resin would be a week’s worth of enabling works, digging and laying the tarmac and edging, and then a further day when everything’s cured and we’re ready to go, where we put six resin installers in and we put the resin down in one day. So this is a two-pronged programme, the drive is fully usable after phase one. So, as you can see, we’ve got cars parked on it today, and we just need to get everything off for for the last installation.

On average, if you took all the the 2,000 odd jobs we’ve done, an average job would take a week to 10 days from start to finish. We don’t interfere an awful lot with with what’s going on inside the house. Suffice to say that we have a toilet outside normally and the guys are pretty self-sufficient and the guys have their full set of drawings that we’ve developed. So we shouldn’t really need to bother anybody in inside the house too much at all.
