Resin Bound Gravel Driveway, Oxford - The New Driveway Company

Last summer we were approached by Architect, Chris Willett of Carter Jonas to renovate the driveway of his client, Simon in Boars Hill, Oxford.

Simon wanted to replace his dull-looking tarmac and create a stunning, low maintenance approach to his beautiful home.

The existing tarmac surface was in good condition but suffered from ponding, had large scars from previous drainage repairs, and lots of ugly manhole covers. We decided that with some drainage improvements we could overlay the existing surface with 18mm of resin bound gravel.

The whole family got involved in looking at samples and deciding on the new finish.

Resin is laid entirely by hand but with our efficient and highly experienced team, we completed the preparation (cleaning, scabbling, and drainage alterations) and an overlay of over 450m² in just three days causing minimum disruption.
